Given the fact that we have no-shows on a regular basis, we are forced to introduce the following rule in accordance with the guideline of the National Association of General Practitioners:
Patients who do not show up for an appointment with the GP, POH-GGZ or doctors assistant without giving a reason will be billed. This bill is not reimbursed by the health insurance and you must pay it yourself.
If your appointment cannot take place unexpectedly, we ask you to inform the assistant as soon as possible. We fully understand unexpected crisis situations. Patients who stay away without notice, harm the practice and other patients: another patient could have been scheduled at your timeslot.
– Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend.
– If a patient does not show up for an appointment without notification, the assistant will send a message to find out what the reason was.
– The next time the patient does not come to an appointment without cancellation, a bill of €33,84 will be sent.
